Bidding Starts Soon for $57 Million Water Treatment Upgrade

The facility will become more efficient after the upgrade is completed.

It will be open bidding season for contractors hoping to get a $57 million contract to renovate the town water pollution control facility.

The facility was built in 1961 and has been expanded and upgraded over the years, according to the Hartford Courant.

The new renovation will help make the facility more efficient. It will be able to treat up to 6.3 million gallons of water a day. Current usage is about four million gallons a day.
