Union School students, families, and teachers attended the school's first BLUE Bash to support autism awareness on Thursday, April 24 from 6-7 PM at Union School. There was so much to do! Professional deejay Bernie Johnson donated his time and played everyone's favorite songs and led games. Union School art teacher Molly Lantagne painted faces. There was popcorn, cupcakes with blue frosting, water and juice. And everyone wore blue.
Union School Speech-Language Pathologist Sapora Turenshine and SLC teacher Lindsey Kaplan created the event to involve the entire school community in support of classmates, friends and family with autism. They charged a modest admission and raised nearly $400 for Autism Speaks.
