Unfortunately, the Boys and Girls Club of Broward County was in need of renovations and it lacked the resources to move forward with one. Budget Blinds was honored to be among those who answered the call for help. Working closely with the dream team at Designing Spaces, Budget Blinds installed cordless solar shades and graphic shades (featuring inspirational quotes) on windows throughout the facility. These shades were chosen because of their child safety features and because they are easy to clean and operate.

The solar and graphic shades were made possible through a generous donation from Budget Blinds' trusted manufacturing partner Draper Inc., and by the measuring and installation work done by Budget Blinds franchisees and design experts Connie Bolton and Tom Kay.
“Using a solutions based approach, it was important that Budget Blinds find the ideal window coverings to install throughout the facility while incorporating practical design elements to make it a comfortable hangout for teens,” said Ruth Terray, who owns and operates Budget Blinds of West Hartford, serving West Hartford, Avon, Farmington, Newington, Wethersfield and surrounding towns. “All of us at Budget Blinds are very excited to have had the opportunity to contribute to such a deserving organization in support of future generations.”
The transformation of the Broward County Boys and Girls Club on Designing Spaces will span 2 episodes. The first airs June 12th and the second, featuring Budget Blinds and the big reveal, airs June 19th. Both will air on Lifetime television at 7:30am EST/PST. Tune in to watch Budget Blinds, Designing Spaces and others, give the Boys and Girls Club of Broward County a much needed makeover.
