FARMINGTON, CT — A key road in Farmington was closed Tuesday afternoon for emergency road work, according to local police, and it has since reopened.

The Farmington Police Department said Talcott Notch Road was closed between Aqueduct Lane and Mountain Spring Road for "emergency road work."

Police had said the job should be complete by "early Wednesday morning."
