Join conductor Gabriel Löfvall for 'From Roots to Promise: Singing America at 250,' a powerful choral performance featuring Cecilia McDowall's 'Everyday Wonders' and Carol Barnett's bluegrass mass, 'The World Beloved.' This diverse program will be accompanied by fiddle, mandolin, banjo, guitar, and bass, with tickets available for $35 or $30 for students and seniors. Tickets available on website.     PURCHASE TICKETS HERE!   This unusual programming highlights the irony of a Syrian/Kurdish handicapped woman being able to receive asylum from war torn Aleppo in, of all places, Germany, while we, in the United States, under the present Administration have asylum bans on such countries as Syria and Haiti! We make hauntingly beautiful music as prayer for the time we can, once again be that country of Promise; a Land of Milk and Honey; Opportunity; Safe Harbor.  "Give me your tired, your poor, Your huddled masses yearning to breathe free, The wretched refuse of your teeming shore. Send these, the homeless, tempest-tost to me, I lift my lamp beside the golden door!" from Emma Lazarus' poem "The New Colossus" on the base of the Statue of Liberty.

  • Only the 2nd Performance of "Everyday Wonders"
  • Bluegrass Mass is a unique blend of Americana and the English/Irish Immigrant influence
