Assumption College, Worcester MA
- The Assumption Department of Athletics has announced that Dominic Alfano, of Farmington, has been named to the roster of the 2019 Assumption Baseball team. Alfano, Class of 2019, will compete during the Greyhounds' spring season, which began in late February with a three-game series at the New England Baseball Complex in Northborough, followed by nine games during their annual spring break trip to Florida.

- The Theatre Program at Eastern Connecticut State University presented "The Wolves" as its first production of the spring 2019 semester. Running from Feb. 27-March 3 in the DelMonte Studio Theatre, "The Wolves" is a coming-of-age story that takes place on the turf of a local indoor soccer field. Among those who made the production a success was Alison Fern of Farmington, who majors in Communication and Theatre. The play was performed by an all-female cast, directed by Theatre Professor Kristen Morgan and written by award-winning playwright Sarah DeLappe. Fern played the role of soccer player #7.
St. Lawrence University, Canton NY
- William S. Sanford of Farmington has been selected for membership in the St. Lawrence University chapter of Pi Mu Epsilon, the national mathematics honorary society. Sanford is a member of the Class of 2019 and is majoring in environmental studies-mathematics. Sanford attended Avon Old Farms School. Membership eligibility for Pi Mu Epsilon varies by class year, but all students must have taken a qualifying number of mathematics courses and have achieved minimum grade-point averages in those courses, as well as overall, depending upon one's seniority.
