FARMINGTON, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Bryant University, Smithfield RI

  • Inspired to excel, 897 members of the Class of 2019 were awarded a Bryant University degree at the 156th Commencement ceremony on May 18, 2019. These accomplished graduates join a powerful network of more than 50,000 alumni around the world who have distinguished themselves as leaders in their organizations and communities. Justin Marsh of Farmington graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in Information Systems. Joseph Siuta of Unionville graduated Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in Accounting. Michael Ziebka of Farmington graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in Global Supply Chain Management.

  • More than 1,250 Eastern Connecticut State University students received their diplomas in the 2018-19 academic year. Eastern's commencement ceremony occured May 21 at the XL Center in Hartford. Graduates from Farmington were Olivia Bednarek, Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Art; David Borovsky, Master of Science degree in Accounting; and Ismael Rivera, Bachelor of Science degrees in Health Sciences and Psychology.

Loyola University Maryland, Baltimore MD

  • Loyola University Maryland has announced the members of its spring 2019 Dean's List. In order to qualify for the Dean's List at Loyola, a student must achieve a minimum QPA of at least 3.500 for the term, provided that, in the term they have successfully completed courses totaling a minimum of 15 credits. Honorees from Farmington are Christina Guertin, Kaitlynn O'Brien and Caitlin O'Sullivan.

  • Tunxis Community College has announced the names of Farmington students who qualified for the Dean’s List for the spring 2019 semester. They are Celia Acuna, Kimberly Boone, Corey Buck, Jessica Burnat, Daniel Damiata, Michael Davis, Kaylee Dejesus, Mariam Dibgolongo-Kabore, Angelica Mocofan, Olufunke Oginni, Kirstine Pedersen, Nicole Pittsley, Kevin Skrocki, Sarah Zech, Taylor Blades, Akiko Choi, Brandon Cunningham, Dennis Despres, Elijah Dionne, Joshua Endler, Katherine Ferland, Michael Moschitto and Kristina Muszynski. Students enrolled in a certificate or degree program who have earned a semester grade point average of 3.4 or higher and have successfully completed 12 or more credits, or have earned 12 credits cumulatively over multiple semesters, are eligible for this academic honor.
