FARMINGTON, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

• Eastern Connecticut State University's annual graduation ceremony was held at the XL Center in Hartford on May 15. Among the 1,200 students who graduated that day were 70 graduate students.
  Nicholas SanGiacomo of Unionville was awarded a Master of Science degree in Early Childhood Education.

Ithaca College, Ithaca NY

• Brianna Goz, an Ithaca College student from Unionville, was named to the Dean's List for the spring 2018 semester.

Merrimack College, North Andover MA

• Erin Fulton of Unionville was named to the Merrimack College Dean's List for the spring 2018 semester.

Muhlenberg College, Allentown PA

• Elizabeth Roswig and Sarah Hunter, both of Farmington, were named to Muhlenberg College's Dean's List for th espring 2018 semester. Students with a term GPA of 3.50 or higher were recognized for their academic achievement.

Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester NY

• Alexis Kerlejza of Unionville graduated from RIT with a BS/MS in physician assistant. RIT conferred 4,747 degrees this academic year at all its campuses-including in Croatia, Dubai, Kosovo and China. The university held its 133rd annual commencement celebration in May.
• Cameron Glynn of Farmington, who is in the film and animation program, made the Dean's List for the spring semester at Rochester Institute of Technology. Degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean's List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of "Incomplete", "D" or "F"; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.

University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa AL

• Carolann R. Bordiere of Farmington was named to The University of Alabama Dean's List for spring 2018. A total of 11,347 students enrolled during the 2018 spring semester at UA were named to the Dean's List with an academic record of 3.5 or above or the President's List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's). The UA Dean's and President's lists recognize full-time undergraduate students.

University of the Sciences, Philadelphia PA

• Joby Cherian of Farmington has been named to the spring 2018 Dean's List at University of the Sciences. Selection for this award is based on completing and passing all assigned courses with no grade below a "C" and attaining an academic average of at least 3.4 for courses taken in the spring of 2018.
  Cherian is a health science student.
