Campus Notes - Farmington College Students

FARMINGTON, CT — Here are some recent notable achievements for college students from Farmington, as reported by readMedia Newswire.

Goodwin College, East Hartford CT

• Goodwin College's President's List for the fall 2016 session includes 309 students, all of whom scored a perfect 4.0 GPA. Farmington students are Trevor Deming, Justene Golino and Jillian Searle.
• Goodwin College announces that 975 students, including seven from Farmington, achieved Dean's List status for the fall 2016 session. Dean's List inclusion requires a student to earn a minimum 3.5 GPA, the equivalent of an A- average, during a given academic session. The student must also be enrolled in a minimum of six academic credits to qualify. Farmington honorees are Rachael Baribeault, Ashley Bilodeau, Trevor Deming, Justene Golino, Lydia Rostkowski, Gregory Schmidt and Jillian Searle.

Grove City College, Grove City PA

• Kevin Kaufman, a junior Political Science major at Grove City College, has been named to the Dean's List with Distinction for the fall 2016 semester. Kevin is a 2014 graduate of Farmington High School and is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Kaufman (Lynn) from Unionville. Students eligible for the Dean's List have a GPA of 3.40 to 3.59; for the Dean's List with Distinction a GPA of 3.60 to 3.84 and for the Dean's List with High Distinction a GPA of 3.85 to 4.0.

Husson University, Bangor ME

• Farmington resident Michael Popolizio has been named to Husson University's Dean's List for the fall 2016 semester. Popolizio is a first-year student who is currently enrolled in Husson's Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology-Human Movement Science / Doctor of Physical Therapy program. Students who make the Dean's List must carry at least 12 graded credit hours during the semester and earn a grade point average of between 3.60 to 3.79 during the period.

Roger Williams University, Bristol RI

• Roger Williams University is proud to announce that David Ciriello, of Farmington, graduated with a Master of Public Administration in December 2016.
• Skyler Moncada, a resident of Farmington, has been named to the fall 2016 Dean's List at Roger Williams University. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a GPA of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean's List that semester.

St. Lawrence University, Canton NY

• William S. Sanford of Farmington has been selected for inclusion on St. Lawrence University's Dean's List for academic achievement during the fall 2016 semester. Sanford is a member of the Class of 2019 who attended Avon Old Farms School. To be eligible for the Dean's List, a student must have completed at least four courses and have an academic average of 3.6 based on a 4.0 scale for the semester.

University of the Sciences, Philadelphia PA

• A pair of Farmington residents have been named to the fall 2016 Dean's List at University of the Sciences. Selection for this award is based on completing and passing all assigned courses with no grade below a "C" and attaining an academic average of at least 3.4 for courses taken in the fall of 2016.
  Local honorees are Joby Cherian of Farmington, a doctor of physical therapy student, and Jessica Mercadante of Unionville, a doctor of pharmacy student.
