Some recent notable accomplishments by college students who live in Farmington.

FARMINGTON, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

  • Eastern Connecticut State University welcomed 1,200 new students to campus this fall 2019 semester. The new enrollees include first-time and transfer students who are enrolled in full-time and part-time undergraduate and graduate programs. Among the new students are Farmington residents Tristan Stoneman, a full-time undergraduate sophomore who is majoring in Business Administration; Matthew Lynch, a full-time undergraduate sophomore who is majoring in Business Information Systems; Liam Hemingway, a full-time undergraduate freshman who is majoring in Pre-Secondary Education and Mathematic; and Suhaila Buuh, a full-time undergraduate freshman who is majoring in Pre-Social Work.

Goodwin College, East Hartford CT

  • Goodwin College announces 627 students achieved Dean's list status for the summer 2019 session. Dean's List inclusion requires a student to earn a minimum 3.5 GPA, the equivalent of an A- average, during a given academic session. The student must also be enrolled in a minimum of six academic credits to qualify. Farmington students who made the Dean's List were Ashley Bilodeau, Heather Butterfield, Elizabeth Hutvagner, Deena Pennito, Rezarta Xhindole, Julie Burke and Husna Sayeed.

Tufts University, Medford MA

  • Local students joined more than 1,600 undergraduate students from around the world as they begin their academic careers at Tufts University, located in Medford/Somerville, Massachusetts. The university's Class of 2023 includes Farmington residents Ethan Grubelich and Praise Adekola. The incoming undergraduates continue to reflect Tufts selective admissions trend, with only 3,404, or 15 percent, of 22,766 applicants admitted.
