FARMINGTON, CT — Here are some recent accomplishments of college students from Farmington, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Assumption College, Worcester MA

  • Assumption College has announced that Dominic Alfano, a member of the Class of 2019 from Farmington, is one of 486 students named to the college's prestigious undergraduate Dean's List for the fall 2016 semester. To earn a spot on the Dean's List, Assumption students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for a five-class, 15-credit semester. The Dean's List is announced twice per academic year, once at the completion of the fall semester, and again at the completion of the spring semester.

Emmanuel College, Boston MA

  • In honor of their outstanding academic achievement, Emmanuel College has named more than 700 students to the Dean's List for the fall 2016 semester. To earn a spot on the Dean's List, Emmanuel students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for a 16-credit semester. Farmington students on the Dean's List are John Debrito, Sabrina Drezek and Alexandra Wilcox.

James Madison University, Harrisonburg VA

  • Unionville resident Vasil Borisevich has been named to the dean's list at James Madison University for the fall 2016 semester. Students who earn dean's list honors must carry at least 12 graded credit hours and earn a GPA of between 3.5 and 3.899. Borisevich is scheduled to graduate in 2017 and is majoring in finance.

Mansfield University, Mansfield PA

  • Kiran Ishaq of Unionville has been named to the Mansfield University Dean's list for the fall 2016 semester. To be named to the Dean's list, a student must attend the university full-time and earn at least a 3.5 GPA.

University of Rhode Island, Kingston RI

  • The University of Rhode Island is pleased to announce that 5,401 students have qualified for the fall 2016 Dean's List. The students represent nearly all of Rhode Island's cities and towns, all six New England states, New York and New Jersey, other states and more than 16 countries. To qualify for the Dean's List, students must have completed 12 or more credits during a semester for letter grades with at least a 3.30 quality point average. Part-time students qualify with the accumulation of 12 credits with a 3.30 quality point average. Farmington students honored are Dalia Fredette, Kamil Kolacz, Sarah Danuta Lipinski, Brianna Lucia Nelson and Allison Rose Solliday.
