Update: Driver Hurt In Cement Truck Crash On Route 4 In Farmington
The scene was cleared by late morning.

FARMINGTON, CT — A cement mixer crash caused traffic issues on Route 4 this morning, injuring the driver, according to local police and the state Department of Transportation.
DOT officials said the cement mixer rolled over and took down a utility police on Route 4 by High Street.
The incident was reported at 7:27 a.m. and the crash site by late morning was cleared outside of some cleanup work that did close some lanes in both directions, according to the DOT.

The Farmington Police Department had asked motorists to avoid the area of Farmington Avenue (Route 4) and High Street.
"The incident was isolated to the truck, and no other vehicles were involved," said Farmington Police Department Spokesman Sgt. Matthew Corcoran in a statement.

He said the operator of the truck was transported to Hartford Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and the investigation is ongoing.
Corcoran said High Street was closed at the intersection of Farmington Avenue, but some parts of Farmington Avenue remained open.
