Tunxis Community College, Farmington CT
- The 48th Commencement of Tunxis Community College was held on May 30 at Central Connecticut State University. A total of 525 graduates were conferred associate degrees and certificates from 59 Connecticut towns as well as Massachusetts. Those who were conferred degrees in December 2018 were also recognized at the ceremony. Graduates from Farmington were Seth J. Anachasian, Kimberly Boone, Gisel Collazo, Michael J. Davis, Ryan E. Dombrowski, Nicholas P. Guertin, Dustin J. Harrison, Volha Kavalenka, Giselle G. Koo, Joseph C. Nettelbladt, Nicole L. Pittsley, Aubrey J. Strong, Christopher E. Borkowski, Brandon W. - Three students from Farmington were named to the 2019 Dean's List at Union College. Comprised annually, the Union College Dean's List honors students who have a grade point average of 3.5 for the entire academic year and meet certain other requirements. Farmington honorees were Alexandra Appel, a member of the Class of 2021, majoring in History and Russia and Eastern European Studies; Charlotte Bombara, a member of the Class of 2022, majoring in Liberal Arts; and Sophie Borg, a member of the Class of 2019, majoring in Psychology.
