College Achievements For Farmington Students

FARMINGTON, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Grove City College, Grove City PA

• Kevin Kaufman is one of 578 seniors to earn their degree from Grove City College on May 19, 2018. Kaufman, from Unionville, earned a Bachelor of Arts degree. He was also named to the Dean's List with Distinction for the spring 2018 semester. Students eligible for the Dean's List have a GPA of 3.40 to 3.59; for the Dean's List with Distinction a GPA of 3.60 to 3.84 and for the Dean's List with High Distinction a GPA of 3.85 to 4.0.

Tunxis Community College, Farmington CT

• Over 80 Tunxis students received awards and scholarships at the 35th Annual “Student Achievement Recognition Ceremony,” held this spring at Tunxis Community College. Close to 80 scholarships and $86,765 in scholarship funds was awarded. Recipients from Farmington were Dustin Harrison (Andrew Feiner Veteran Scholarship Award, Hartford Foundation for Public Giving Scholarship and Kendall C. Scott Criminal Justice Scholarship); Katherine Ferland (Hartford Foundation for Public Giving Scholarship); Kevin Skrocki (Mott Corporation Scholarship); Alicia Anachasian (Criminal Justice Academic Discipline Award); and Gisel Collazo (Human Services Academic Discipline Award).

University of Delaware, Newark DE

• Evelyn Pantelopoulos of Unionville has been named to the University of Delaware's Dean's List for the spring 2018 semester. To meet eligibility requirements for the Dean's List, a student must be enrolled full-time and earn a GPA of 3.33 or above (on a 4.0 scale) for the semester.

University of Hartford, West Hartford CT

• The University of Hartford is pleased to announce the following students from Farmington have been named to the Dean's List for spring 2018: Kyle Scanlon, Kaelin Baker, Angelica Padua, Bruno Caruso, Pasquale Caruso, Ian Thomas, Elora Rosedale, Eric Sims, Benjamin Edelson, June Karbowski, Jillian Maraj, Robert Stolarz, John Parducci, Kayla Just, Caroline Zeiser, Danielle Parkinso, James Ruzbasan and Miles Messier.

Wheaton College, Norton MA

• Shannon Connolly of Farmington, a sophomore majoring in creative writing at Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts, and a member of the Wheaton College swimming and diving team, was one of 108 student-athletes named to the 2018 spring Dean’s List, who earned a 3.50-grade point average (GPA) or better.
