College Achievements By Students From Farmington

FARMINGTON, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Eastern Connecticut State University, Willimantic CT

• Nearly 100 students are participating in Eastern Connecticut State University's highly selective University Honors Program this 2019-20 academic year. Among the students are two from Farmington: Michael Tuttle, who majors in Psychology and Mathematics and is in his fourth year in the program, and Liam Hemingway, who majors in Secondary Education and Mathematics and is in his first year in the program. The Honors Program accepts highly motivated and academically driven students. When accepted into the program, students are required to complete several additional classes, including a capstone course in which students complete a thesis based around their academic major.

Goodwin College, East Hartford CT

• Goodwin College's President's List for the summer 2019 session includes 230 students, all of whom scored a perfect 4.0 GPA. Honorees from Farmington are Julie Burke, Heather Butterfield and Deena Pennito.
