Connecticut Mom Passes Out at Bar, Child Found Alone in Car Hours Later

Police were called to a Bristol bar late Friday for Kelsey James, 22, who was allegedly intoxicated and incapacitated late Friday,

But what ensued after that is almost beyond words.

Police took James to the hospital for evaluation and when she regained consciousness around 5:20 a.m. she began to ask about her child, WFSB 3 reports.

Hospital staff frantically called police, who were able to locate James’ two-year-old child sleeping in a car seat. The state Department of Children and Families was notified of the incident, and James was released from police custody after posting $50,000.
