Construction Could Cause Delays on South Road in Farmington

The work is extensive, town officals said.

FARMINGTON, CT - The town of Farmington is undertaking a roadway reconstruction project along South Road that could cause delays.

Town officials said Wednesday that the work is slated for South Road from Two Mile Road to Orchard Road.

Work includes the removal and replacement of pavement and base material, the installation of curbing, driveway reconstruction, and the replacement and installation of catch basins and drainage infrastructure.

Weather permitting, crews will be working between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., town officials said.

Alternating one-way traffic will be set up during the work, town officials said.

Access to local residents and businesses will be maintained at all times, as will access for emergency vehicles, town officials said.
