Crash Closes Portion of Major Farmington Roadway
A serious accident has closed a portion of a major artery through Farmington for an unknown length of time. BREAKING

FARMINGTON, CT — A serious multi-vehicle accident has closed a portion of a major artery through Farmington for an unknown length of time, police said.
The Thursday morning accident on Route 6 west of Waterside Drive has necessitated the closure of the road between Fienemann and Scott Swamp roads. Detours are in place, according to police.
Lt. Patrick Buckley said three cars were involved, and one seriously injured occupant was transported to an area hospital by ambulance. At least four other people with minor injuries were transported to area hospitals.

Farmington police and the North Central Municipal Accident Reconstruction Squad are conducting an investigation. Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to call the Farmington Police Department at 860-675-2400.
