CT Humane Society celebrates Founder’s Day
with discounted pet adoption fees

NEWINGTON, Conn. – The Connecticut Humane Society (CHS) will offer discounted pet adoption fees from Saturday, April 30th through Friday, May 5th in celebration of its 135th anniversary.

The 50% discount applies to animals that are 1 year of age and older. Visit CThumane.org/adopt to check out all of the dogs, cats, bunnies and other animals available for adoption at the humane society’s locations in Newington, Waterford and Westport.

Shelter hours, beginning on April 30th are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9:30 AM – 5:30 PM and Wednesday 12:00 noon – 5:30 PM. Reservations are not necessary; pets are adopted on a first come, first served basis. Each pet is fully vaccinated, spayed or neutered and medically approved for adoption. In addition, each adoption includes one free month of pet insurance, a collar and leash and week of pet food.

Last year, CHS facilitated the adoption of more than 5,000 dogs and cats throughout Connecticut.
