Delays Expected Surrounding Route 4 Construction
Starting Monday, Feb. 27 and lasting for approximately 3 months, motorists can expect a new traffic pattern.

From the Town of Farmington: The Connecticut Department of Transportation is announcing a traffic shift to facilitate the installation of new storm drainage and the relocation of existing utilities for the reconstruction of Route 4 for State Project No. 51-260.
Starting Monday, February 27, 2017 and lasting for approximately 3 months, a new traffic pattern for stage construction will be established.
One lane will be maintained in each direction for Route 4 westbound and eastbound. Turning lanes will be maintained at the intersection of Route 4 with Garden Street, Route 10 and Mountain Spring Road.

Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area or seek alternate routes. Drivers are urged to pay close attention to flaggers and signs in the work zones, obey the posted speed limits and be on the alert for workers and equipment. Local Businesses will be open during this time.
