Detour Planned On I-84 Exit Ramp In Farmington: DOT
The state Department of Transportation is conducting bridge work and one exit of Interstate 84 will be closed over three nights next week.

FARMINGTON, CT — Motorists traveling on Interstate 84 next week will have to be mindful of some potential delays due to bridge work nearby.
The state Department of Transportation said Exit 39A on I-84 East will be closed over three nights next week to allow crews to work on the bridge on South Road that goes over Route 9 South.
That exit takes motorists to Route 9.

State officials did not specifically say when the work would begin, but did say it would be the week of Feb. 25, which is Sunday.
State officials will have a detour set up for motorists over three consecutive nights for the bridge maintenance project.

The planned detour would take I-84 East motorists past Exit 39A and have them get off at Exit 40, where they would go back onto I-84 West and take Exit 39A in that direction to Route 9 South.
