Dick's Sporting Goods Opens Its New Digs At Westfarms
Dick's has a new location in the Westfarms retail district.
FARMINGTON/WEST HARTFORD, CT — The new version of the local Dick's Sporting Goods store was open for business this week and a grand opening has been scheduled for Saturday.
The new location in the Westfarms retail district is 1603 Southeast Road. That's the old Bed, Bath & Beyond vacancy.
A Dick's spokeswoman said the store moved from its previous location to both add to and modernize its retail space.

A third preview day is on tap for Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. The opening weekend hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on Saturday and 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday.

The Dick's Sporting Goods chain was founded in 1948. It specializes in sports equipment, apparel, footwear and accessories. As of May 1, the company operated 730 Dick's locations across the United States. Dick's also features in-store services and unique specialty "shop-in-shops."
