Driver Charged After Crash, Tussle With Cops In Farmington
A driver from Hartford is facing charges after a crash in Farmington, police said.
FARMINGTON, CT — A Hartford man is facing several charges after running from the scene of a car crash in Farmington, then engaging police in a confrontation, an arrest report indicates.
The crash took place at 5:54 p.m. Saturday near Scott Swamp Road and Spring Lane, according to an arrest report.
After the crash, the driver, identified as 34-year-old Juan Rivera, of Hartford, fled on foot, according to an arrest report. Rivera fought with officers while being taken into custody, according to a report.

Rivera was charged with:
- Reckless driving
- Second-degree reckless endangerment
- Interfering with police
- Driving while under suspension
- Driving an unregistered vehicle
- Improper use of a registration plate
- Driving without the proper insurance
His case was assigned a $10,000 bond, police said.
