Off-Duty Cop Charged With DUI In Farmington
He has been placed on leave from his job with the Norwich Police Department, according to a report.

FARMINGTON, CT — An off-duty Norwich police officer was arrested in Farmington Tuesday night on charges of driving while under the influence.
A vehicle operated by Chase Chiangi, 32, failed to obey a stop sign at the intersection of New Britain Avenue and Red Oak Hill around 8:07 p.m. He failed a roadside field sobriety test and was subsequently charged with driving while under the influence and failure to obey a stop sign, Lt. Timothy McKenzie said.
Chiangi was released on a $2,500 bond, and is scheduled to appear Jan. 30 in Hartford Superior Court.

A 10-year veteran of the Norwich Police Department, Chiangi has been placed on leave, according to a report on nbcconnecticut. com.
Norwich Police Chief Patrick Daley had not responded to an inquiry from Patch as of publication time.
