East Farms School Helps Classmate Diagnosed With Perthes Disease
Over 450 students and staff at East Farms School helped raise more than $600 in Farmington for Perthes Disease Research.
Farmington - More than 450 students and staff at East Farms School in Farmington held a walk on Wednesday, May 18th around the school grounds that raised more than $600 for Perthes Disease Research. The walk was organized by the East Farms Student Council, comprised of third and fourth graders, to support a fourth grade friend at the school who is afflicted with the disease. The entire student body wanted to do something to raise awareness and money to go towards research of this rare childhood disease that affects the hips and a child's ability to walk.
