Employees Of The Hartford to Participate In National Day Of Service And Remembrance

More than 1,000 employees in the Hartford area alone will be volunteering in Farmington, Simsbury and the capital city.

The Hartford will observe the anniversary of 9/11 by taking part in the National Day of Service and Remembrance on Friday, Sept. 11.

More than 1,400 employees, including over 1,000 in the Hartford area, will participate in more than 155 service projects in local communities across the country.

In Connecticut, groups of employee-volunteers will assist in various clean-up activities at Pope Park in Hartford and Camp Courant in Farmington, while also supporting organic farmers at the Community Farm of Simsbury/Gifts of Love by harvesting produce for underserved individuals and families.

Employees of The Hartford show their exceptional character by supporting local communities and advancing the missions of our nonprofit partners. In addition to Connecticut, The Hartford’s employees will volunteer in 12 cities across the country.
