Afternoon at the Bijou: The Man Who Came to Dinner

The Man Who Came To Dinner (1942) Wonderful film adaptation of the Kaufman/Hart stage comedy stars Monty Woolley as acerbic New York critic Sheridan Whiteside, who manages to take over the small-town household where he's convalescing after an accident. Bette Davis co-stars as Woolley's long-suffering secretary; with Richard Travis, Ann Sheridan, Billie Burke, Jimmy Durante. 113 min.
