Haiti's Back Porch Art Exhibit at Miss Porter's School

Haiti's Back Porch will show a collection of paintings in the Gilbert Gallery at Miss Porter's School from October 1 through 31. The collection will include the work of Kens Cassagnol and François Cauvin. The Gilbert Gallery is located at 60 Main Street, Farmington. Visitors should check in with the receptionist before proceeding to the exhibit. The gallery is open Monday through Friday from 1:30 to 5:00 p.m.

Located in Middletown, Conn., Haiti's Back Porch is the artisan support component of Outreach to Haiti, a nonprofit organization that offers services to Haitians in need, and hospitality to volunteers and visitors. Haiti's Back Porch purchases crafts directly from Haitian artisans, with proceeds from sales supporting Outreach to Haiti's programs, including health care services, student sponsorships and other educational support, parish twinning, support of two orphanages, and a neighborhood meal program for children.
