Farmington Aims for Girls Basketball Quarterfinals
Four teams from north-central Connecticut were victorious Thursday; five more area squads play Friday night.
Four Thursday night games in the CIAC girls basketball tournaments involved teams from north-central Connecticut, and local squads prevailed in each of them to advance to the quarterfinals.
Glastonbury, South Windsor and E.O. Smith (Class LL) and Enfield (Class M) were all victorious in their second-round matchups.
Five more teams from the region will be in second-round action Friday night: Northwest Catholic and Farmington (Class L) and Canton, Windsor Locks and East Windsor (Class S).
