Prior to coming to Farmington as a school principal, first at the middle school level and, then, at the high school, Hurwitz was a teacher in Glastonbury.
"We think its an excellent appointment," said Farmington Board of Education Chairperson Elizabeth Fitzsimmons after the vote last week. "Although we are sad to see Scott Hurwitz leave the high school, he will be an excellent addition to central office."
