Farmington Chamber of Commerce Summit to Focus on Bioscience

The summit is Nov. 13 and will focus on the growing field of bioscience.

The Farmington Chamber of Commerce and the Farmington Economic Development Commission are presenting the second annual Business Summit on Thursday, November 13, 2014 from 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM at Farmington Gardens, 999 Farmington Avenue, Farmington.

This year’s event will feature the emerging bioscience industry in Farmington, and will highlight the economic benefits this industry is already having on the Greater Hartford Region.

Generously sponsored by Farmington Bank, the summit will highlight leaders in the bioscience industry, and will explore how it is creating economic growth, and how it will yield long term dividends for Connecticut’s economy.

Title speakers include Yu-Hui Rogers, Site Director from JAX Genomic Medicine Laboratory, and Dr. Frank Torti, Executive Vice President for Health Affairs at the University of Connecticut Health Center. A panel discussion will follow with representatives from CURE, Connecticut Innovations, The Helen and Harry Gray Cancer Center and The University of Connecticut Health Center.
