FARMINGTON, CT (May 18, 2016) The Farmington Chambers of Commerce hosted their Fiftieth Annual Dinner on Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at the Farmington Gardens, 999 Farmington Avenue, Farmington. Over 100 people attended to honor community and business leaders. The Chamber honored many community leaders and businesses for their services to the community.
The evening was led by Farmington Chamber of Commerce President, Brendan Moran. President Moran opened the evening with welcoming remarks, sharing his year in review, and acknowledging past Presidents. President Moran’s opening remarks were followed by a delicious dinner.

After dinner, Feature Speaker, Commissioner Kevin B. Sullivan spoke about the state of business in Connecticut and what to be expected in the coming year. Sullivan was appointed as Commissioner of Revenue Services in 2011 by Governor Malloy. He is refocusing the agency as a strategic resource for state fiscal and economic policy, government innovation, employee engagement, taxpayer outreach, voluntary compliance and increased collections. The Farmington Chamber was proud to have Commissioner Kevin B. Sullivan as the featured speaker for the Fiftieth Annual Dinner.
Following Commissioner Sullivan presentation, President Moran introduced the 2016 award winners. This year’s award winners were: The Center for Advanced Reproductive Services, An Academic Affiliate of University of Connecticut Health for the Distinguished Business of the Year Award, The Landing of Farmington for the New Chamber Member of the Year Award, the Farmington Historical Society for the Citizens of the Year Award, and Beauty Entourage for Small Business of the Year.
