The Farmington Community Chest is conducting its Annual Fundraising Appeal. The goal of this drive is to raise $50,000 which will benefit Farmington residents in a variety of ways. Community Chest has been in Farmington since 1931, with a mission of improving health, educational opportunities and community life for all Farmington residents.
The Farmington Community Chest offers scholarships, camperships in summer, supports the Food Pantry, Veterans, Senior programs, Social Services, school programs and more. The Farmington Fuel Bank is administered by Community Chest. They have provided support to the Live Burn Training Facility. Additionally, they sponsor Farmington Cares Day, an annual event where volunteers go into the community to assist residents with projects they cannot accomplish on their own.
The current fundraising appeal will allow funding for programs and projects benefitting all residents of Farmington, Community Chest would like to expand support for current projects and additionally support a large scale project in Farmington.
