Farmington Coronavirus Infections Rising Quickly
Coronavirus cases are skyrocketing in Connecticut. Here is how Farmington compares.

FARMINGTON, CT — Coronavirus cases are increasing at a dramatic rate in Connecticut despite the lack of available testing. The state most recently reported a daily positive test rate of 20 percent on Thursday.
Farmington had 71.7 average daily cases per 100,000 residents and a positive test rate of 10.50 percent between Dec. 12-25, according to the state Department of Public Health. There were 38.7 average daily cases per 100,000 residents in the previous two-week reporting period. It’s important to note that a few cases can have a large impact on a municipal case rate, especially for small towns.
Farmington recorded 249 new coronavirus cases between Dec. 23-30, according to DPH’s preliminary data.

Around 82 percent of Farmington residents are fully vaccinated against the coronavirus as of Dec. 29, according to DPH.
