Farmington Everyday Hero: Deborah Cappa Kotulski
Deborah works full-time at Farmington High School, part-time at the Westfarms Mall, and finds time to volunteer at Newington Humane Society.

Do you know someone making a difference in our community? Patch wants to tell their story in a new series we’re calling “Everyday Heroes.” We are looking to share inspirational and uplifting stories of people who work to change others’ lives for the better.
Today’s Everyday Hero was sent in by Vanetta Hayhurst.
“I am nominating Deborah Cappa Kotulski as an “Everyday Hero.” I work with Deb at Farmington High School, where she is a security monitor. The reason that I think she deserves to be recognized is because she works a full-time job at the high school in addition to a part-time job at Westfarms Mall, but still finds time to volunteer at Newington Humane Society each week. Deb is an wonderful woman who always has a smile for everyone. She is most happy when frolicking with stray kitties in her capacity as a volunteer. She posts endless entries on Facebook in hopes of securing “forever homes” for all of her furry friends. The world needs more folks like Deborah Cappa Kotulski.”
