Farmington Girls Pull Off Upset to Move Into Soccer Quarterfinals

Two dozen teams from Hartford and Tolland counties competed in tournament action Friday in soccer, volleyball and field hockey.

FARMINGTON, CT — Seeking its fourth state championship, but first since 2005, the Farmington High School girls soccer team took another big step Friday, upsetting top-seeded RHAM 1-0 in the second round of the Class L tournament.

The 17th-seeded Bobcats will travel to Wallingford for a quarterfinal matchup with No. 9 Sheehan Sunday at 2 p.m.
