Farmington High School Model U.N. Team to be Recognized
To put it simply they dominated yet again. Students will be recognized at the Board of Education meeting.

Farmington High School students were awarded first place for best delegation Hartford Model United Nations Simulation.
The students will be recognized at the Feb. 23 Board of Education meeting for their accomplishments at the event, which occurred in December.
Farmington students also were awarded second place for best delegation.

The win marked the eighth year in a row were Farmington students placed either first or second in the competition.

This year, over fifty FHS students participated in their roles as delegates from Bangladesh, Japan, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and South Korea. In particular, Adrian Pietrzak ’15, Dan Wackelin ’15 and Yeye Li ‘15 were singled out and awarded Best Delegation for their exceptional representation of Japan in the Economic Committee. Second place finishers included Allen Haugh ’17, Smrithi Raman ’17, Seeya Sodani ’15 and Vishruthi Palanivel ‘15 for their representation of Saudi Arabia in the Humanitarian Committee.
