Farmington High School Music Honor Society Inducts New Members

The Tri-M Music Honor Society, is a national organization that celebrates for high school musicians for their talent, leadership and service. The Farmington TRI-M Chapter is rooted in the principle of sharing one’s talent of music with the community. Designed to recognize those with high academic and musical achievements, Tri-M has helped thousands of students throughout the country provide years of service through music.
At Farmington High School, music students in this honor society work hard to inspire younger students to excel at both music and leadership. Upon being accepted based on one’s application, the final step to gain membership is an induction ceremony. On October 30, 70 juniors and seniors performed a solo piece in front of both fellow peers and the music teachers.
Within the Farmington High School, Tri-M members, under the leadership of the FHS music teachers, have been providing the community with music for years. Annual TRI M events in the music department include Senior Cafe and performances at Middlewoods, Brookdale and other retirement facilities.
