Farmington High School Students Heading to Statewide Audition

A number of FHS students will compete at the statewide level at the Hartford Convention Center.

A number of Farmington High school students have been selected to audition for a state award at the Hartford Convention center.

April 30th through May 2nd, over 750 of the best musicians from across Connecticut will rehearse and perform at the Hartford Convention Center. These high school students were selected for the award of All-Conference Musician in the four regions of the state and many qualified to audition for the state award. The audition includes a collegiate solo, scales and sight-reading.

On Saturday, May 2nd students in the Connecticut All-State Honors Ensembles of Band, Choir, Orchestra and Jazz Band will perform at Music Educators Association Conference at the Hartford Convention Center. Collegiate conductors will rehearse the student ensembles over three days with the culminating performance on May 2nd.

Farmington High School students selected as the best musicians in the State of Connecticut are: Choir—Benjamin Aube, Katie Byrne, Sarah Davis, Jonathan Hammond, Ashish John, Sarah Rua, Morgan St. James, Catherine Steffens, Robert Stolarz, Sarah Tritman and Emily Williams. Orchestra—Priscilla Back, Shayamal Datta, Jungtaik Kwon, Navreeta Singh, Emery Wegh and Austin Zhu.
