Farmington Hires New Town Assessor
Christine Barta previously worked in assessor positions in Avon, Madison, Clinton and North Branford.

The Town of Farmington has appointed Christine Barta as the new town assessor.
Barta was formerly the assistant assessor for the Town of Avon and has held town assessor positions in Madison, Clinton and North Branford, according to a press release.
Town Manager Kathleen Eagen said she is pleased to have Barta aboard.

“Her professional background, sharp skills in assessments, and proactive style are a great match for Farmington,” she said.
Barta will replace Linda Arnold, who recently retired with almost 40 years of service to the town.

Farmington did a nationwide search for candidates and came highly recommended by her peers and past employers. Barta is anticipated to start Oct. 15.
