Farmington To Implement Hot Weather Safety Protocols
This week's expected heat wave has the Town of Farmington opening up a cooling center on Wednesday.
FARMINGTON, CT — The expected heat wave expected this week starting on Wednesday has prompted Farmington officials to implement hot weather protocols.
Because temperatures are expected well into the 90s with high humidity, the town is opening the Farmington Community & Senior Center as a cooling center, located at 321 New Britain Ave., Unionville.
Starting Wednesday, July 26, the building will be available for residents to seek relief from the heat. Oppressive weather is expected through the weekend.

The cooling center will be open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
