Farmington Library's 'Maker Fair' Has Something For All This Weekend
The annual event will feature crafts, STEM demos, and local artisans for all ages.

FARMINGTON, CT — If you're looking for something unique this weekend, look no further than what the Farmington Library has to offer.
The Farmington Library will host its annual "Maker Fair" on Sunday, March 22, offering hands-on activities, demonstrations, and exhibits for residents of all ages.
The event is scheduled from 1 to 4 p.m. at the main library, 6 Monteith Drive.

Organizers said the fair will feature a mix of arts, crafts, and STEM programming, including interactive projects such as book folding, circuit cards, kites, and “floof launchers.”
Attendees can also participate in a climate collage, create Glowforge bracelets, and contribute to a paper bag village.

In addition to hands-on activities, visitors can explore the library’s Maker Space through tours, demonstrations, and take-home projects.
Other featured attractions include a fiber arts demonstration, a technology “take-apart” station, and opportunities to record oral histories.
The event will also showcase local organizations and vendors offering demonstrations and goods.
Scheduled participants include Call the Bee, Chompers, The Coder School, ConnLUG, EnergizeCT Mobile Lab, the Farmington Land Trust, FHS Robotics, Jackson Laboratories, Mathnasium, the New Britain Museum of American Art, Paki Taco, Robothetes, The Rug Hookers and Winding Trails.
Library staff said the fair is designed to highlight creativity, technical skills, and community engagement in a family-friendly setting.
