Farmington Maintains Top 10 Spot in Girls Basketball Poll
The Indians ran off 10 victories in their first 11 outings to open the season.

FARMINGTON, CT — Ten victories in their first 11 games meant Farmington High School earned, for the second straight week, a top 10 spot in the latest girls basketball poll of coaches and media members.
The Indians (10-1) tied for seventh in the most recent balloting after a week which saw them edged 38-36 by No. 5 Simsbury, followed by a double-digit win at New Britain. Farmington is at home for a pair of contests this week, hosting Newington on Tuesday and Avon on Friday.
Mercy (10-0) moved into sole possession of first place in this week's rankings.
