Farmington Makes Decision On Memorial Day Parade

With the weather moving in on Monday, some towns are canceling the traditional Memorial Day parade, while others are not.

FARMINGTON, CT — Farmington officials canceled the town’s 2026 Memorial Day Parade because of inclement weather, according to an announcement released Monday.

Veterans are still invited to gather for a brief Memorial Day ceremony at noon at the Farmington Town Hall Veterans Memorial at 1 Monteith Drive.

Town officials said the annual parade will resume in 2027 in Farmington and return to Unionville in 2028 as part of the town’s longstanding tradition of alternating parade locations each year.
