Farmington Man Causes Damage to Police Department

He broke a sprinkler head which led to considerable water damage, according to police.

FARMINGTON, CT — A Bristol man was arrested just 42 minutes into the New Year after causing damage to a bar that had cut him off from alcohol, then damaged a sprinkler head at police headquarters, prompting extensive water damage.

Anthony Yacino, 24, was charged with second-degree breach of peace, interfering with an officer and two counts of first-degree criminal mischief.

His bond was set at $5,000, and he is scheduled to appear in Hartford Superior Court Jan. 10.

A police report states Yacino was thrown out of the Tavern at the Exchange early Sunday morning due to his level of intoxication. He then damaged the front door to the bar after kicking it.

While being processed at police headquarters, he broke a sprinkler head in the booking area, causing extensive water damage, police said.
