Farmington Man Slapped Woman In Face, Prevented Her From Calling 911: Police
Officers responded to a domestic dispute in a car late Saturday night in South Windsor.

South Windsor Police say a Farmington man slapped a woman in the face and tried to prevent her from calling police during an argument in a car Saturday night.
South Windsor Police officers responded to the domestic dispute in a car along John Fitch Blvd. at about 11 p.m. on Aug. 22.
Officers learned that a couple had gotten into an argument while driving and the man had slapped the woman in the face and grabbed her wrist to prevent her from calling the police on a cell phone, according to Lt. Scott Custer.

Officers arrested the man, Thuan Phung, 48, of 5 Walton Way, Farmington.
Phung was charged with breach of peace and interfering with an emergency call. Phung was later released on a $1,000 surety bond. He was scheduled to appear at Manchester Superior Court on Monday.
