Farmington Man Threatened to Kill Police: Report

He admitted he was on drugs when he told a nurse on the phone that he would kill any officers that came to his home, police said.

FARMINGTON, CT — A local man was arrested at his home Wednesday night after he allegedly threatened to kill police officers while high on drugs, according to Lt. Colin Ryan.

Peter Ostrowski, 56, of Webster Street, was charged with interfering with an officer and second-degree breach of peace in connection with the incident, which began around 8 p.m.

Ostrowski had called a nurse to talk about a prescription for his elderly father. He was agitated and advised the nurse he had ingested several different drugs and to call the police. He also advised her that he would kill any officers that responded to his house, Ryan said.

Police responded and made contact with Ostrowski at his residence. He retreated into his home but emerged again a few minutes later, and officers were able to take him into custody without further incident, Ryan said.

He was processed and released on a $2,500 nonsurety bond, then sent to an area hospital for evaluation, Ryan said.
