Farmington: No Labor Day Trash Impacts

Next week's trash and recycling schedule will not change, town says.

FARMINGTON, CT — Local residents concerned about their trash pickup situatin due to the Labor Day weekend needn't worry.

Town officials announced Thursday that residents with trash and recycling collection through the Waste Material Trucking Col, the town's contractor, will operate on a normal schedule next week.

"To ensure proper pickups, all carts must be at the curb the night before your normal collection day," wrote the town.

Depending on the contractor and/or municipal trash services, many communities have to juggle their schedules to accommodate holidays.

That's not he case in Farmington, town officials said.
