Farmington Obituary: Albert Gregerick, Jr., 80

Albert J. Gregerick, Jr., 80, of Unionville, beloved husband of Betty (Grohs) Gregerick, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, September 16, 2018.

Born March 12, 1938 in Hartford, son of the late Albert J. and Pauline (Nicksa) Gregerick, he was a lifelong resident of Unionville. Prior to retiring, he was employed by SNET for 40 years and been associated with Tunxis Plantation Golf Course for 10 years.

Albert was a member of the Army National Guard for 10 years and had been a member of Tunxis Hose Company for 10 years in the 1960s. He was an avid golfer and NASCAR fan.

Besides his wife of 58 years, he is survived by his daughter, Sharon Hirt and her husband Ken, his son, Michael Gregerick and his wife Janice, his brother, John Gregerick and his wife Jeannette and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the Ahern Funeral Home, 111 Main St., Rt. 4, Unionville on Thursday (Sept. 20) from 5:00-8:00pm. A Prayer Service will be held in the Ahern Funeral Home on Friday (Sept. 21) at 1:00pm followed by burial in St. Mary Cemetery, Avon.
