Farmington Obituary: Cecelia Maliszewski, 90

Cecelia L. Maliszewski, 90, of Farmington, widow of Thomas P. Malizewski, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 21 2016.

Born May 18, 1926 in Hartford, daughter of the late Stanislaw and Frances (Zembroski) Maliszewski. Before retiring, she was employed by the Town of Farmington, Board of Education, as a Paraprofessional serving at East Farms and Union schools for over twenty years.She was a communicant at the Church of Saint Patrick in Farmington. She was an active member with the low vision group at the senior center in Farmington.

Cecelia is survived by her son Michael A. Maliszewski and his wife Marysa of Torrington; her sister Alice Pasha of Suffield; her two beloved granddaughters Caitlyn and Danielle Maliszewski.She was predeceased by two sisters, Helen Duncan and Nell Miga; her two brothers, William and Stanley Zapor.

The family would like to extend their sincere thanks and gratitude to the staff at UConn Health Center, Apple Rehab in Avon, Town of Farmington Services for the Elderly, and to her many neighbors that took such good care of mom.

The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Friday (June 24) at 10:00 in the Church of Saint Patrick, 110 Main Street, Farmington, followed by burial at Riverside Cemetery.
